Summer Vinyl...

So heres all the records I bought this summer, most where released within the last four or five months. A lot of the pictures are out of focus. I'm bad with technology.

David Bazan Curse Your Branches
I just saw Bazan about a week ago at the Detroit Bar. He played with a full band (first time in several years) and it was one of the best shows I have seen. If you get the chance to see him you better do it.
Mr. Highway LP
My friend Javi's Band. The artwork is all really cool plus its a clear vinyl! sounds like 90's emo. I watched them play a month or two ago and it was one of the better acts I've seen this summer.
North Lincoln Midwestern Blood
I have been waiting for this one for quite some time and it was everything I could have asked for and more. When I first got it I think I listened to it four or five times straight in a row. Plus their from Michigan.
Chris Wollard and the Ship Thieves
Chris Wollard of Hot Water Music & The Draft. Its just as good as anything he has ever done. The whole thing is good, first four songs are some of the best in the Hot Water Affiliate Cannon.
Shook Ones The Unquotable A.M.H.
Its like the Descenents and Bad Brains had a baby. Some of the best lighter sounding Punk/Hardcore out there. Not to be confused with some of the less classy self dubbed pop punk hardcore. This album is from start to finish bitchin.
Offsides/No Harm Done Split 7"
We played with both bands this summer. I must confess that I only really listen to the Offsides portion. Pretty straight forward Old School Hardcore but with a girl singer which makes things interesting. Everything rips. I can't wait to see these guys again.
Gogol Bordello Wonderlust King Single 7"
One of my favorite songs by one of the most insane bands in existence.
Chuck Ragan Gospel Songs & Picture Disc 7"s
All songs from the new album Gold Country which rules. Ragan pushes forward without abandoning the old raw and heart felt sound I love.
The Effort From Our Mistakes 7"
We played with this band this summer. Super good melodic hardcore. The EP is a concept album which is pretty dope.

David Bazan Bonus 7"
This bad boy came with the new record and is a prized gem. Two covers, Dylan's The Man in Me and the notorious Hallelujah.
